Activities & Liability Policy **Effective:** Nov 1, 2022 **Last Updated:** Feb 28, 2026 This Activities & Liability Policy applies to all guests, participants, visitors, volunteers, and invitees ("Participants") attending any activity, event, tour, retreat, workshop, or visit at **Badger State Farms LLC** ("the Farm," "we," "us"). By entering the Farm or participating in any activity, you agree to this policy. 1. Assumption of Risk Badger State Farms LLC is a working farm. Participants understand and voluntarily assume all **inherent risks** associated with farm and outdoor activities, including but not limited to: * Uneven ground, mud, trails, barns, and natural terrain * Weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, wind) * Animal interaction (scratches, bites, kicks, allergic reactions) * Insects, wildlife, plants, pollen, and farm equipment * Physical exertion or strain Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. 2. Liability Waiver & Release To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law: * **Badger State Farms LLC is NOT LIABLE** for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or death occurring on the Farm or during Farm activities. * Participants **release, waive, and discharge** Badger State Farms LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and agents from all claims arising from participation, including claims based on negligence. 3. Medical Responsibility Badger State Farms LLC does not provide medical care and is **not responsible** for pre-existing conditions, allergic reactions, or medical incidents. Participants are responsible for their own health, fitness, and medications. 4. Participant Responsibilities Participants agree to: * Follow all posted rules and verbal instructions * Stay within designated areas * Wear appropriate clothing/footwear * Treat animals, staff, property, and guests respectfully * Supervise children at all times (parents/guardians assume all responsibility for minors) Failure to comply = removal without refund. 5. Children & Minors Badger State Farms LLC does **not** supervise children. Parents or guardians assume all risk and liability for minors. 6. Animal Interaction Disclaimer Animals are unpredictable. Badger State Farms LLC makes no guarantees regarding animal behavior and is **not liable** for injuries, allergic reactions, or damages. 7. Property & Personal Belongings The Farm is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property or vehicles.
